A friendly class of patchwork and quilting enthusiasts.

Hi, my name is Sally Harradine and I run 2 half-day patchwork and quilting classes on Thursdays in the Community Room at the Village Hall.

The group has evolved into what it is today over the past 30 years. I have had the pleasure of organising these sessions, enjoying every minute of it, for more than 11 years. I facilitate the sessions, support the more experienced sewers and relish the opportunity to teach beginners.

We organise a coffee morning annually to raise money for Hospiscare. In 2021 we raised over £1100, more than £400 of which was from the sale of items we had made. We also donate bed quilts to the hospice and have great fun making them.

Periodically I organise workshops with outside speakers. This enables us to learn different skills, tapping into other peoples’ knowledge.

As well as learning and producing, I am very keen that we fill our days with friendship, laughter and chat. This group is open to anyone who fancies sewing with like-minded people. Whether you have oodles of experience or none at all, you will be welcomed.
